Indonesia records daily highest number of almost 6,000 Covid-19 cases

JAKARTA, Nov 27 — Indonesia recorded the highest number of 5,828 daily Covid-19 cases over 24 hours up to noon Friday, taking the cumulative tally to 522,581 cases.

A total of 437,456 out of the 522,581 cases have recovered from the disease, according to data published in the official Twitter account of the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management.

The data shows that the infectivity level is 67,836.

Over 24 hours up to noon Friday, 169 people died of the disease, taking the death toll in the republic to 16,521.

The province of Jakarta has recorded the highest number of positive cases, at 132,961 with 1,436 new cases Friday, while the province of East Java has registered the highest number of deaths, at 4,314.
