Selangor career fair to continue with CMCO SOP in place

PETALING, Nov 22 — The state government is committed to continuing its Jelajah Selangor Bekerja 2020 (Selangor Jobs Exploration 2020) programme.

Selangor executive councillor for human resource development Mohd Khairuddin Othman the programme is held on a smaller scale in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the conditional movement control order (CMCO).

He said interview sessions at the programme were conducted face-to-face and virtually to comply with the SOP set by the National Security Council (NSC) and the Selangor Covid-19 Task Force (STFC).

“Based on the registration recorded via the JobsMalaysia website, the state government received a total of 9,696 applications for the Selangor Jobs Exploration 2020 programme,” he said in a statement today.

He said a total of 6,567 vacancies were offered by 37 employers at the two-day event in Taman Gombak and Saujana Utama.

The events recently held at the Dewan Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (MPS) in Taman Gombak and the Dewan Majlis Daerah Kuala Selangor (MDKS) in Saujana Utama were part the programme’s second and third series.

The first series started at the Stadium Tertutup Kuala Selangor on November 15.
