Selangor records second highest Covid-19 recoveries

SHAH ALAM, Nov 12 — Selangor recorded the second-highest number of Covid-19 recoveries in the country today with a total 225 patients.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Sabah recorded the highest figure with 543 recoveries out of the total 996 patients discharged today.

Other recoveries recorded by state are as follows; Penang (108), Federal Territory of Labuan (42), Negeri Sembilan (38), Sarawak (20), Kedah (12), Perak (4), Terengganu (3) and Melaka (1).

Meanwhile, Dr Noor Hisham said Selangor saw 174 new infections today out of the total 919 daily cases nationwide.

“Out of the 174 cases reported, 122 cases are from existing clusters, while 37 are from close contact screenings and 15 infections were detected from other testings,” he said in a statement today.

According to the data by the Health Ministry’s National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC), Sepang district topped the list of new infections recorded in Selangor with 74 cases.

This is followed by Klang with 38 cases, Hulu Langat (31), Petaling (19), Kuala Langat and Gombak recorded five cases each, while Hulu Selangor saw two cases.

Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor recorded no Covid-19 infections.

As of noon today, the cumulative figure recorded in Selangor stands at 6,875, out of the total 43,791 cases recorded nationwide.
