SHAH ALAM, Nov 23 — The Subang Jaya career fair is rescheduled on December 8 following the extension of the conditional movement control order (CMCO) to December 6.
Subang Jaya assemblyman Michelle Ng said they had received over 500 applications for the virtual programme that was earlier scheduled to be held from November 19 until 21.
The physical event was initially slated on November 28.
“The programme was supposed to run last week but because of the CMCO extension, it was moved to December 8 till 10.
“Even though (it was to be held) online, the rescheduling had to be done because (we) do not want the date of the physical interview to be too far from the online interview.
“So we have set the date for the physical interview on December 19,” she told SelangorKini yesterday.
Ng had encouraged more people to take advantage of the programme that offers more than 1,200 job opportunities from about 60 companies.
“Individuals who are not familiar with the online method can come for the physical interview. We will help them,” she said.
The career fair organised with cooperation from Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) and several companies aims to address the unemployment issue as well as help those who lost their job to find new employment.
