Subang Jaya draws 1.8 mln tourists in 2019, highest in Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Nov 4 — Subang Jaya has recorded 1.8 million in tourist arrivals last year, which was the highest in Selangor.

Tourism Selangor said the contributing factors include a good network of public transportation, various shopping malls and commercial centres, healthcare centres as well as entertainment spots.

“Subang Jaya is not just modern and rapidly developing, it also puts effort into maintaining a clean and harmonious environment.

“Its progress, once and for all, qualifies Subang Jaya to achieve its status as a city on October 20,” the agency said in a statement.

Overall, Selangor recorded 7.62 million tourist arrivals in 2019.

  • The Mines City — The Mines Golf Club and Resort, The Mines Beach Resort & Spa, The Mines Shopping Fair dan The Mines Waterfront Business Park
  • Sunway City — Sunway Lagoon, Sunway Pyramid Hotel, Sunway Clio Hotel, Sunway Medical Centre
  • Bandar Puchong (IOI Mall Puchong, Setiawalk Puchong, Uptown Puchong Night Bazaar)
  • Higher education institutions (Taylor’s University College, Sunway University, Inti College)
