SHAH ALAM, Nov 16 — A total of 27 areas in Kuala Langat and Sepang will be hit by scheduled water cut from 9pm on November 24 due to valve replacement work.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) in a statement today said the water supply is expected to fully resume by 5.30pm on November 25.

Its corporate communications head Elina Baseri said the valve replacement work for distribution pipes will be carried out at the junction between Jalan Indah 1 and Jalan B48, Pekan Sepang Lama.

“The replacement of the valves would enable the water supply distribution system to run smoothly while ensuring that all related equipment is always in good condition and operating at optimal levels.

“Improvements to the valve infrastructure is part of the Air Selangor’s efforts to enhance the service experience for the users,” the statement read.

Elina said the water disruption and recovery period would vary based on the locations of the users and the water pressure of the distribution system.

Affected consumers were also advised to store water adequately and to use water sparingly during the temporary scheduled disruption.
