SHAH ALAM, Dec 9 — A total of 731 areas (84.9 per cent) out of the 861 areas affected by unscheduled water disruption has been fully restored as of 1pm today.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) corporate communications head Elina Baseri in a statement said it is continuing its efforts to resume water distribution in the remaining 130 affected areas.
It said water supply in Kuala Selangor, Petaling, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Lumpur is fully restored.
“The restoration rate in Kuala Langat is currently recorded at 80 per cent, followed by Klang Shah Alam (74.9 per cent) and Gombak (70 per cent).
“Alternative water supply at the public water taps and local service centre (PKS) will still be made available for consumers,” she said adding that the consumers are advised to adhere to the regulations under the conditional movement control order (CMCO).

The unscheduled water supply disruption occurred following the shutdown of Rantau Panjang Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Sungai Selangor Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 WTPs due to raw water pollution detected in Sungai Selangor on December 7.
