SHAH ALAM, Dec 5 — The conditional movement control order (CMCO) in Selangor, except for three districts, has been extended until December 20.

The announcement was made today by Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob during his daily press briefing broadcasted live on Facebook.

He said the CMCO in Selangor, which was scheduled to end tomorrow, has however ended in three Selangor districts, namely Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor, and Kuala Selangor.

“The decision was made after taking into consideration the Covid-19 risks. However, the situation in the three districts being Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor is under control,” he said.

Meanwhile, the CMCO extension was also enforced in Kuala Lumpur while the CMCO in Putrajaya ends tomorrow.

Ismail Sabri added that the standard operating procedure (SOP) is still applicable during the extension period.

The CMCO in Selangor was scheduled to end on December 6 after a 14-day extension from November 9.

The CMCO was first implemented in the Klang Valley on October 14 following the surge in Covid-19 cases.
