SHAH ALAM, Dec 19 — Petaling Jaya (PJ) recorded 3,729 dengue cases as of December 12, a 50 per cent decrease compared to the same period last year.
Its mayor Datuk Mohd Sayuthi Bakar said compared to two other local authorities (PBTs) located in the same district, PJ’s recorded cases are the lowest.
His statement said that Shah Alam recorded 5,120 cases while Subang Jaya reported 6,322 cases in the same period.
“A total of 13 controlled outbreaks were reported, one active hotspot and one death,” he said.
Mohd Sayuthi also urged local leaders and residents to stay clean by ensuring there are no unused water containers around their residences.
