HIV test forms available online for future Muslim brides, grooms next year

SHAH ALAM, Dec 29 — Brides- and grooms-to-be in Selangor who wish to wed next year will be required to fill up the HIV screening forms via online beginning January 1.

The Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) said two copies of the forms should be filled up and submitted at the public health clinics or hospitals before undergoing the screening procedure.

On a Twitter post today, Jais said the forms can be downloaded via the links at http://jknselangor.moh.gov.my/images/2020/borang/saringanhiv.pdf or http://jknselangor.moh.gov.my/index.php/awam.

Couples in Selangor planning to wed are required to undergo HIV screening as stipulated under the state’s Marriages, Divorces and Rujuk Administrative Procedures and Guidelines.

The future brides and grooms would be required to visit any government clinics for the test and the results are valid within a six-month period.
