‘Jelajah Selangor Bekerja’: More than 5,000 job vacancies available in Shah Alam this weekend

SHAH ALAM, Dec 4 — A total of 5,143 vacancies awaits job seekers at the closing of the ‘Jelajah Selangor Bekerja 2020’ (Selangor Jobs Exploration 2020) tour series at Dewan Jubli Perak, in Selangor State Secretariat Building, at Section 6 here, on December 5 and 6.

State executive councillor for youth development Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the vacancies are in the manufacturing, services, professionals as well as the education sectors, and are offered according to qualifications.

“The state government hopes applicants for the interview session will be prepared by coming early, wearing the proper attire and bringing the required documents.

“Applicants are urged to try other opportunities offered in the two days programme,” he said when contacted by SelangorKini.

Mohd Khairuddin said 34 employers will hold physical and virtual interview session with 9,696 applicants who had registered at the JobMalaysia portal and invited to attend the programme.

“The state government also plans to hold a large-scale career fair after the Covid-19 pandemic is over,” he said.

The state-organised ‘Jelajah Selangor Bekerja’ tour series started in Kuala Selangor on November 15 followed by Gombak (November 21), Sungai Buloh (November 22), Hulu Langat (November 29) and will next be held in Shah Alam (December 5 and 6).

Among the employment opportunities offered include professor, lecturer, Quran tutors, accountant, sales manager, research officer, technician, meter reader, call centre operator, terminal tractor driver, supervisor and storekeeper.
