MBSA approves 62 temporary business permits to assist small traders

SHAH ALAM, Dec 29 — The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has approved 62 temporary trading permits in the southern parts of the city council.

Its Corporate and Public Relations head Shahrin Ahmad said the approvals were issued when the permit application counter at the Dewan Liparis in Section 13, here, was open on December 19 and 20.

“This enables small traders in the southern areas to obtain (their) temporary licences whilst awaiting the (trading) sites to be determined for that purpose at Shah Alam Sections 26, 27, 28, 31 and 35.

“The opening of this counter also represents MBSA’s commitment towards assisting traders to do business legally and reduce their burden as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Shahrin Ahmad in a statement today.

As of November 30, a total of 808 temporary trading permits have been issued throughout Shah Alam.

“MBSA hopes that this initiative of reopening the counter in stages will enable and encourage traders to do business with permission and in compliance with the rules and regulations,” he said.
