Nik Muhammad Sharif Haseefy Mohd Lazim is the latest addition to the Selangor Football Club (Selangor FC) team for the Malaysia League 2021.

Nik Sharif now dons Selangor jersey

SHAH ALAM, Dec 19 — Selangor FC have signed on Nik Muhammad Sharif Haseefy Mohd Lazim as their latest addition to the team for the Malaysia League 2021.

Selangor FC in a statement said the Pahang midfielder better known as Nik Sharif had scored three goals in 10 appearances with The Elephants during the  2019 and 2020 seasons.

Selangor head coach, Karsten Neitzel said the young player had his own talents to help the Selangor team especially in analysing play patterns.

“He (Nik Sharif) possesses technical aspects that are very good and has great vision in reading a game even though he is very young. He can also play as a winger or help the midfield effectively.

“I believe Nik Sharif will play an important role in the Selangor team next season. I can’t wait to see him in action in the pre-season preparations,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nik Sharif was thankful for the trust placed in him by the Selangor FC management and said he was committed to help the Red Giants.

“I am excited and grateful to be given this opportunity to play with a team that has a chequered history and achievements in the M-League,” he said.

He said Selangor FC were very special in terms facilities, a management that was very professional, besides a line up of highly experienced players

“I will do my best for the team to repay the trust in me by the management and to make Selangor fans proud,” he said.

Nik Sharif is the fourth player signed on by Selangor FC to make up the first eleven players after Shahrel Fikri Md Fauzi, Tim Heubach and R Dinesh.
