Raja Muda of Selangor receives RM300,000 contribution for Yide charity activities

SHAH ALAM, Dec 2 — Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has consented to receive donations for Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan’s (Yide) charity activities amounting to RM300,000.

Yide general manager Nur Mohd Razali Abdullah said donations from five corporate companies and government-linked agencies were received by His Highness in a brief ceremony at Istana Kayangan yesterday.

“Central Sugars Refinery (CSR) Sdn Bhd, represented by its Corporate Affairs director Rozita Ahmad, contributed RM150,000 for school essentials for the school term next year to 17 orphanages supervised by Yide.

“The company had previously also contributed RM1.3 million for the construction of a surau at the Pulau Indah Orphanage Complex,” he said in a statement issued yesterday.

Other companies that had also contributed were Maybank Berhad (RM80,000), Pemodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB) (RM10,000), Kumpulan Semesta Sdn Bhd (RM30,000) and Aiman ​​Platinum Sdn Bhd (RM30,000).

“Maybank contributed RM80,000 to purchase two dialysis machines for the use of the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (Mais) dialysis centre that is supervised by Yide.

“While PNSB contributed an ‘infaq’ fund for the construction of the Pulau Indah Orphanage Complex,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nur Mohd Razali said they welcome any contributions for the construction of the Pulau Indah Orphanage Complex as well as other similar forms of initiatives.
