Selangor land office staff positive for Covid-19

SHAH ALAM, Dec 4 — The Selangor State Land and Mines Office (PTGS) announced that one of their staff has tested positive for Covid-19 on December 2.

In a Facebook statement today, PTGS informed that the staff works at its Registration Division located at the LG level of the State Secretariat Building here.

“The staff is currently receiving further treatment and preliminary investigation found that the staff was instructed to attend the Covid-19 screening by the Kuala Langat Health Office on November 30 and was confirmed positive on December 2.

“The staff is most likely to have been infected by the staff’s mother-in-law who was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on November 28,” read the statement.

PTGS said a total of 23 staff with close contacts of the infected person have been identified and quarantined for 14 days, they will also undergo a Covid-19 screening test at their respective district health office.

Additionally, as a precaution, all staff at the LG level of the PTGS department have been instructed to undergo self-quarantine for seven (7) days from December 3 to 9.

“It is the priority of this department to ensure the health and safety of employees and customers are always guaranteed.

“Therefore, this department has taken proactive steps to close operations at the PTGS LG level from December 3 until 9 December for disinfection of the premises in accordance to the standard operating procedure (SOP),” it said.
