SSM waives fee from Jan 1 until 31

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31 — The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) is waiving the fee for late filing of company statutory documents effective until January 31.

The commission, in a statement today, said the fee is waived to reduce the impact of companies affected by the temporary closure of the Malaysia Business Reporting System (MBRS) for maintenance purposes until February 28.

“SSM understands the difficulties faced and requests customers to give way to maintenance work on the MBRS system to be completed.

“Maintenance work on the MBRS system does not prevent access by customers to the latest company information that is updated through the MyCoID system,” it said.

SSM said as an alternative, customers can submit documents of Annual Statement (PT), Financial Statements and Reports (PK), Exempt Private Company (EPC), Unaudited Financial Statements and application for exemption or extension of time for PT or PK, Exemption Application ( EA) through the counters at SSM offices nationwide.

“The procedure for submitting the statutory documents has been uploaded in the form of frequently asked questions (FAQs) which can be accessed on the website www.ssm.com.my,” it said.

Customers can also contact the SSM Call Center at 03-7721 4000 or email to [email protected] or [email protected] for further inquiries.
