Water supply fully stabilises in Klang Valley — Air Selangor

By Selangor Journal Team

SHAH ALAM, Dec 10 — As of 3am today, the water supply distribution has been fully stabilised to all the 861 affected areas in seven localities in the Klang Valley, says the Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).

The areas in Petaling, Klang/ Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat, and Kuala Selangor regions experienced water cuts since Tuesday following the suspension of the operations of four water treatment plants due to a river pollution incident.

“Air Selangor would like to thank the consumers for their patience and cooperation given to Air Selangor’s frontline staff in all affected regions,” its corporate communications head Elina Baseri said in a statement.

The unstable water supply distribution had occurred on Tuesday following the shutdown of Rantau Panjang Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Sungai Selangor Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 WTPs due to raw water pollution detected in Sungai Selangor.

Information on water supply is announced from time to time on the Air Selangor communication channels via the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter sites as well as Air Selangor website, www.airselangor.com.
