SHAH ALAM, Dec 30 — The water supply in all 58 areas in Klang and Shah Alam that were affected by an unscheduled water cut has been fully restored earlier than expected at 9am today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) had earlier today said that the water supply in the remaining nine areas was expected to recover by 12 noon.

“Air Selangor would like to thank all users for their patience and cooperation during the unscheduled water cut.

“We urge the cooperation from the public to report of any pipe burst or leak incident in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya to ensure that repair works can be conducted immediately,” it said in a statement today.

Yesterday, the water supply in two Selangor districts, which include 72 areas in Petaling, was cut at 1pm following a burst pipe incident at Bulatan Persiaran Tengku Ampuan in Section 15, here.

The repair works on the burst pipe had completed as per schedule at 9pm last night and the distribution of the water supply was channelled beginning at 9.30pm.
