Go for free Covid-19 screening, MB tells residents near Taman Sri Muda in Shah Alam

SHAH ALAM, Jan 6 — Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has urged resident living in areas surrounding Taman Sri Muda in Section 25, here, to undergo the free Covid-19 screening, which begins tomorrow until Friday.

Amirudin said the free screening will start from 9am until 4pm and will be conducted at Dewan Azalea, Taman Sri Muda, Seksyen 25, Shah Alam.

“Register immediately via the SELangkah website (https://screening.selangkah.my/) to ensure a smooth screening process,” he said in a Facebook posting today.

Yesterday, Selangor recorded the country’s highest number of new cases with 509 out of the 2,027 reported nationwide.

Out of 509 cases, the Petaling district recorded the highest number of infection at 162, with 80 cases detected from two new clusters — Jalan Playar Cluster (64) and Sri Suria Cluster (16).

While out of the 162 cases, the Damansara sub-district recorded 127 cases, followed by the sub-districts of Petaling (25), Sungai Buloh (9) and Bukit Raya (1).

Selangor has recently launched its Covid-19 community screening initiative, which is also conducted via drive-thru service.
