Indonesia nears a million Covid-19 cases

JAKARTA, Jan 25 — Covid-19 infection cases in Indonesia are nearing a million, after recording 9,994 new cases in the last 24 hours.

The total number of positive cases in the republic is now 999,256, with 809,488 infected patients having made a full recovery.

According to data posted by the Indonesian government on Covid-19, Covid19.go.id today, 28,132 people have died from the virus, with 297 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Jakarta province remains the province with the highest number of infections, with 252,266 cases, while East Java has the highest number of fatalities, with 7,440.
