MCO in districts of Kapit, Song to begin Feb 2 — Sarawak JBPN

KUCHING, Jan 31 — The Sarawak state government has decided to implement the Movement Control Order (MCO) in the districts of Kapit and Song for 14 days from Tuesday (February 2).

The Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) in a statement today said that the decision was made following the increase in Covid-19 cases in the two areas over the past few days.

“The MCO for Kapit and Song will take effect February 2, at 12.01am until 11.59pm on February 15 (14 days),” it said.

Sarawak reported 135 new Covid-19 positive cases today and another death, bringing the total number of fatalities due to the disease in the state to 38.
