Partially decomposed body found in Kampung Pandan Dalam

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 11 — The partially-decomposed body of a man was found by the public in a shrub area in Jalan F, Kampung Pandan Dalam, Ampang here, yesterday.

Ampang Jaya district deputy police chief Superintendent Mohd Azam Ismail said the public informed the police about the discovery of the body at about 7.30pm.

“Preliminary investigation at the scene found that the body found by the public was in a semi-rotten condition.

‘’The body is believed to be that of an adult male who was fully clothed but no identity document was found at the scene,” he said in a statement today.

He said so far, no criminal element had been detected and investigations were still ongoing, including to identify the victim’s citizenship.

He said the body was sent to the Chancellor Tuanku Mukriz Hospital here for a post-mortem and so far the case was classified as sudden death.

Mohd Azam asked the public who had information related to the case to come forward to testify at the Ampang Police Station or telephone 03-42897417.
