Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations, Order extended to March 31

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 1 — The operation of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations 2020 as well as the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Order 2020 under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342) has been extended starting today until March 31.

The Federal Government Gazette which contains the regulations and preventive order was published by the Attorney-General’s Chambers via its website today.

The extension of the operation of the regulation involves the Prevention and Control Of Infectious Disease (Declaration of Infection Area) (Effective Expansion) (No.7) Order 2020; Prevention and Control Of Infectious Disease (Measures in Local Infected Areas) (No.9) Regulations 2020; and Prevention and Control Regulations (Fee For Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) Detection Test) (Amendment) (No.2) 2020.

Also extended are the Prevention and Control Of Infectious Disease (Medical Treatment and Recommendation of Persons Transferred to Quarantine Stations) (No.2) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 as well as Prevention and Control Infectious Disease (Compounding of Offences) (Amendment) (No.13) Regulations 2020.
