Scheduled water cut in Petaling, Shah Alam, Klang from Jan 12-14

SHAH ALAM, Jan 6 — A total of 36 areas in Petaling, Shah Alam and Klang will experience scheduled water disruption for three days to make way for work to change and fix new pipes near the Carlsberg brewery at Persiaran Selangor, in Section 15, Shah Alam, on January 12.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) the water disruption will start at 9am on January 12 and will resume fully at 9am on January 14.

“The work will affect a total of 10 areas in the Petaling district, 22 areas in the Shah Alam district and four in the Klang district,” said the statement.

The water operator said the duration of the water supply disruption and its recovery varies depending on the distance of the users’ premises location and the water pressure of the distribution system.

The agency advised affected users to store sufficient water supply and to use water sparingly throughout the period of the scheduled water disruption.

“The upgrading works to the piping infrastructure are part of Air Selangor’s efforts in improving the users’ experience to ensure the comfort of our users in the future. 

“The implementation of these efforts would enable the water supply distribution system to always function optimally,” said Air Selangor.
