SHAH ALAM, Jan 10 — A total of 3,000 travel vouchers for the ‘Nak Bercuti? Pusing Selangor Dulu!” (Eager to travel? Explore Selangor first!) tourism campaigns have been distributed to the frontliners.

Tourism Selangor announced that the vouchers worth RM200 each were redeemed through the Lazada mobile application on January 8.

“The distribution of these vouchers is our show of appreciation to the frontliners such as doctors, nurses, police and army officers,” the agency told SelangorKini.

At the same time, Tourism Selangor said 2,000 vouchers for the public have also been redeemed through the ecommerce platform on the same day (Friday).

“This programme received positive response from the Selangor people and those outside the state. For those who have missed, they can still get it through the Touch ‘N Go eWallet app that has sent out notifications to its 339,000 valid users,” it said.

The public can redeem the tourism vouchers to make purchases of tourism products via Lazada.

To resuscitate the tourism industry, the state government  through its Selangor Cares  economic stimulus package, had taken the initiative to introduce the RM2 million tourism voucher subsidy.

At the same time, a total of RM2.9 million was allocated to implement tourism events and promotional programmes which includes the ‘Nak Bercuti? Pusing Selangor Dulu’ (Eager to travel? Explore Selangor first!) campaign.
