SHAH ALAM, Feb 10 — Thirty individuals took part in the Selangor Local Youth Movement (PeBS) logo design competition, says Selangor State Sports Council (MSNS) executive director Mohamad Nizam Marjugi.

He said the winner of the RM2,000 cash prize will be announced in two weeks’ time.

“The selection of the winner will be done by the Youth Standing Committee that is chaired by the state executive councillor for youth and sports development Mohd Khairuddin Othman.

“The logo must contain the name PeBS, features elements of youth and iconic locations in Selangor, and include 70 per cent royal blue colour and 30 per cent red and yellow,” he told SelangorKini.

Mohamad Nizam said the logo design competition jointly organised by the state government and MSNS is part of the rebranding exercise of PeBS, formerly known as the Local Youth Movement or PeBT.

All participants of the competition, which started on January 25 until last Friday, will each receive a certificate of participation.

The state government established PeBT in 2009 with the aim of developing young leaders, mobilising the local youth and development agenda as well as strengthening ties between youths and communities.
