Bandar Utama rep allocates RM109,000 for environmental programmes

PETALING JAYA, Feb 10 — A total of RM109,000 is allocated to Bandar Utama constituents for environmental sustainability programmes.

Its state assemblyman Jamaliah Jamaluddin said the contribution was distributed to 23 residents bodies consisting of Rukun Tetangga Area (KRT), Residents Association (RA) and Joint Management Body (JMB).

“The initiative through the Bandar Utama Green Grant Programme started in January and will be closely monitored to ensure that the project is truly implemented.

“Until now, among those carried out include community gardens, recycling, composting and solar energy,” she told SelangorKini after inspecting the replanting of Tembusu tree at Jalan SS20/10 here that was also attended by Petaling Jaya City Councillor Loyis Uding.

To date, a total of 40 new trees have been planted in the Bandar Utama constituency to replace damaged trees that may pose a risk to the public.
