Bernama TV’s ‘Think Differently with Ras Adiba Radzi’ to focus on PwDs’ issues

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 — Bernama TV has introduced a brand new programme ‘Think Differently with Ras Adiba Radzi’ aired every Tuesday at 8.30 pm.

Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) chairman Senator Datuk Ras Adiba Mohd Radzi said the programme that premiered its first episode yesterday, would mostly discuss topics involving persons with disabilities (PwD).

“Thinking Differently is about bringing people together while highlighting on community issues and the topics will generally revolve around PwDs,” she said adding that though there were several programmes for the mainstream, at times little but important issues or topics have been left out.

“So, in this programme, I’d like to actually bring up and discuss on what we (PwDs) go through everyday. It’s a programme about people, how they feel, what they go through, their struggles, how they come out of it and rise in their own way,” she said during Bernama TV’s Mid-Day Update programme today.

Meanwhile, she said PwDs are facing enormous difficulties and challenges especially during this Covid-19 pandemic.

“As it is, the new norm is already hard for people who are not disabled, but for us with disabilities, it’s so much tougher and we feel that we’re being left out. Not intentionally, I don’t think so, but sometimes when things are happening so fast, people forget the little things that have a huge impact on our lives.

“I give an example, if you’re doing a poster, on say, giving advice on how best to follow the SOPs (standard operating procedures), these posters cannot have too much information with bright, glaring colours, because it could cause difficulties to some of us, like those with autistic spectrum disorder,” she said.
