SHAH ALAM, Feb 8 — The Selangor government is offering the chance to win 300 ang pow packets worth RM10,000 in conjunction with the 2021 Chinese New Year state-level celebration.
State Standing Committee on Non-Islamic Affairs co-chairman Dato’ Teng Chang Khim said the public can take part by watching the Selangor’s virtual Chinese New Year celebration live on Facebook on February 12 and send out their festive greetings.
He said the participants stand a chance to win between RM28 and RM168 worth of ang pows.
“The campaign will be held via the Facebook pages of Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari and Teng Chang Khim, and each platform will give away 150 ang pows worth RM28 and 5 big ang pows worth RM168.
“The big ang pows giveaway is on every 15th minute as well as at the end of the live streaming. All winners will be announced on February 15,” said Teng on Facebook.
How to participate:
Step 1: Watch the Selangor Chinese New Year’s ‘New Year, New Hope’ virtual celebration on February 12 at 9pm. Share it on your Facebook page and remember to set the privacy setting to public.
Step 2: Tag friends and families in the comment section, write down your greetings and hashtag #alliwantforcnyisyou. The more comments submitted and the more friends tagged, the higher the chances of winning an ang pow.
