Cops hunt for four men over fight in Taman Klang Utama

SHAH ALAM, Feb 10 — Police have urged the public to channel any information they have on the whereabouts of four individuals believed to have been involved in a fight in Taman Klang Utama last Friday, resulting in a man suffering injuries on several parts of his body.

Klang Utara District Police chief ACP Nurulhuda Mohd Salleh said in a statement that the four men, whose addresses are in the Bukit Raja area in Klang, are Daniel Arvind Peter, 23; Mahendran Vijayan, 28; Balamurugan Ganesan, 27; and Navaratnam Ganesan, 29.

She said a preliminary investigation found that the fight occurred at about 4am on February 5 due to dissatisfaction between two groups of gangsters after one of their friends was jailed.

“A 59-year-old man lodged a police report on the incident after his son was slashed with a sharp weapon on several parts of the body.

“As of now, four other suspects have been arrested and remanded until February 11 under Section 326/148 of the Penal Code. All had records for extortion, robbery and causing harm,” she added.

Recently, a video clip, which went viral on social media, showed a man being approached by several individuals before assaulting him, including with a sharp weapon.
