EPF taking steps to remove criteria for i-Sinar

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 12 — The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is undertaking the necessary fine-tuning of its system, process and governance to accommodate the removal of the criteria for the i-Sinar facility.

Yesterday, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz announced the removal of the criteria for the facility to provide more members with financial relief.

“The EPF seeks the understanding and cooperation from members in allowing it to undergo the necessary fine-tuning of its system, process, and governance required for i-Sinar Online,” the provident fund said in a statement yesterday.

It added that the move is to ensure ease and security for members applying for the facility.

More information on this will be announced by the EPF via its official communication channels.

The fund also advised members to refer to the EPF for information and to be mindful of misleading and fraudulent sources.
