SHAH ALAM, Feb 16 — The Selangor government will be carrying out a free Covid-19 screening operation for the residents in Shah Alam, tomorrow, says Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

Residents from Sections 15, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 24 in Shah Alam were urged to undergo the testing programme.

“Especially for the Shah Alam residents, the community screening will be held tomorrow from 9am to 4pm at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) community hall in Section 19.

“Register at screening.selangkah.my. The screening operation is part of the state government’s initiative to combat Covid-19,” he said in a post on Twitter today.

On January 19, Amirudin had in a special address to announce the RM73.877 million Kita Selangor Package said that the state administration had allocated RM6 million to enable 50,000 targeted Selangor residents to undergo Covid-19 screening during the movement control order (MCO) period in a proactive bid to combat the pandemic.

Since last year, Selangor has carried out targeted community screenings at various locations.

The state was the first to initiate targeted mass screenings when the first MCO was enforced last March.
