Free Covid-19 screening to continue in Shah Alam, Port Klang, Puchong, PJ this weekend

SHAH ALAM, Feb 26 — The free Covid-19 community screening series will be held in Shah Alam and Port Klang tomorrow, followed by Puchong and Petaling Jaya on Sunday, said Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today.

Amirudin said the screening operation tomorrow will be carried out at the Dewan MBSA Hall (Dewan Kenanga) in Section 28, Shah Alam, and MPK Multipurpose Hall in Pendamar Indah 2, Taman Pendamar Indah, at Port Klang.

“Residents staying in Taman Alam Megah, as well as those in Section 27 and 28 in Shah Alam are encouraged to come for the screening in Section 28 Shah Alam.

“While those living in Taman Pendamar Indah, Bandar Puteri and Bandar Botanik should come for the screening at Pendamar Indah 2,” said Amirudin on his social media platform.

He said on Sunday, the screening programme will be held at MPSJ Hall Puchong Indah, in Taman Indah Puchong, Puchong, and MBPJ Multipurpose Hall PJS 2C/6, Taman Dato’ Harun, in Petaling Jaya.

“Those staying in Kg Sri Langkas, Puchong Permata 2, Taman Dahlia, Kg Seri Andalas and Taman Puchong Perdana are encouraged to come for the screening held at MPSJ Hall Puchong Indah.

“Meanwhile those living in Taman Dato Harun, Kg Medan, Taman Medan Baru, Taman Maju Jaya, PJS 3 and PJS 4, are urged to come for the screening at MBPJ Multipurpose Hall PJS 2C/6,” he said.

Amirudin said all the free screenings will be held from 9am to 4pm.

He urged those who are coming to download the SELangkah (Step in, safely) mobile application and use the function ‘Saringan’ as well as register at the website screening.selangkah.my.

Previously, the same programme was held at Section 19 Hall, in Section 7 and Section 25, Shah Alam, at Pandamaran Jaya Multipurpose Hall in Klang, PJS 6 Community Hall in Petaling Jaya and in Sungai Besar Stadium in Sabak Bernam.

On January 20, the Selangor administration through the Kita Selangor Package had allocated RM6 million to continue the free Covid-19 community screening operation throughout the state to curb the spread of the pandemic.

The initiative is part of the state government’s effort to detect more cases, especially among the high-risk groups.
