Local authorities to decide on reopening of ‘pasar malam’ — Exco

By Norrasyidah Arshad

SHAH ALAM, Feb 1 — The reopening of night markets (pasar malam) in Selangor will be decided by the local authorities.

State executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han said the approach was similar to the previous reopening of morning markets which was determined by the local councils based on the current situation.

“The management and control methods for each market are different under the respective local councils.

“Traders and visitors at the markets need to comply with the standard operating procedure (SOP),” said Ng when contacted yesterday.
