SHAH ALAM, Feb 2 — The Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI) has continued to provide food aid to 14,162 frontliners in the state.

Head of corporate social responsibility Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said a total of 9,822 medical personnel had received the assistance while the remaining 4,340 were handed over to those manning the roadblocks.

“The state government’s initiative is meant to appreciate the frontliners’ involvement in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic,” he told SelangorKini.

Ahmad Azri said a total of 12 hospitals, 10 district health offices and departments have received the assistance since January 20 until to date.

“For the frontliners at the roadblocks, the distribution of food assistance has started since January 27 and will resume until February 9,” he said.

On January 20, Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced that RM3 million was allocated to provide food supply for frontliners of the state through the Kita Selangor Package.
