Selangor Xtiv Virtual is back, offers prizes worth more than RM400,000

SHAH ALAM, Feb 23 — The Selangor Xtiv Virtual 2021 programme will begin this March, offering accumulated prizes worth RM411,680.

State executive councillor for youth and sports development Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the programme that is expected to run until December 2021, targets to get 450,000 participants.

He said the programme was continued following the success of Selangor Xtiv Virtual 2020 that attracted 250,632 participants and 18 million views on social media platforms.

“A total of seven Selangor Xtiv Virtual 2021 programmes will be implemented including three new programmes which are Selangor Xtiv Virtual Chess, Selangor Xtiv Virtual Ride and Selangor Xtiv Virtual Jump Rope Challenge.

“Four previous programmes that will be continued are Selangor Xtiv Virtual Esports, Selangor Xtiv Virtual Marathon, Selangor Martial Art Xtiv Virtual and Selangor Xtiv Virtual Youth Busking,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Mohd Khairuddin said the programme is an initiative of the Selangor government to encourage the people especially the youth to stay active.

“We want them to carry out beneficial activities during the movement control order (MCO) period, thus fostering solidarity to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission,” he added.
