Seldec to launch food delivery service via dapurSELDEC

By Khairul Azran Hussin

SHAH ALAM, Feb 9 — The Selangor Digital e-Supply Chain (Seldec) will be launching an express delivery service of freshly cooked meals via dapurSELDEC soon.

Its business development general manager Mohd Fauzan Elham said for a start, the initiative offers online food-ordering services for Subang and Shah Alam before it will be expanded to other parts of the state in stages.

“We are taking orders from the restaurant, traders or homes first. Insya Allah (Godwilling), after this it will expand to include the morning and night markets.

“The dapurSELDEC service fixes food delivery time of between 30 minutes and two hours,” Mohd Elham told SelangorKini yesterday.

He said the online servicing sector in the country is expected to continue growing this year and is capable of creating more job opportunities whilst empowering the digital economy sector.

Seldec had also previously offered delivery service for raw items such as locally-produced meat, fish, chicken and free-range chicken, rice, cooking oil, marinated mutton as well as local delicacies such as ‘kuih-muih’.

On July 13 last year, Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the business platform will be used to extensively promote agricultural produce, products made by micro-entrepreneurs and raw items.

Seldec is spearheaded by the Selangor Industrial Corporation Sdn Bhd which directly connects buyers to sellers through the Seldec portal at www.seldec.com.my.
