Team Selangor improves virtual classes, focus on youth empowerment

By Khairul Azran Hussin

SHAH ALAM, Feb 18 — The Team Selangor volunteers will improve the SkorLAH SPM programme for the 2021 Form Five students in line with the new norms in the education sector.

Its School Unit head Muhamad Haziq Fikri Jasni said aside from giving free tuition, they are also planning a programme to empower Selangor youths in facing life after Covid-19.

“The spread of Covid-19 has changed the way we live our lives, not to mention the education sector, which needs to be continued in a different environment.

“So we need to find methods and formulate the best plans to guide students or the young people,” he told SelangorKini.

Previously, Team Selangor had helped students from low-income families sitting for the 2020 SPM examination by conducting virtual classes.

The programme is limited to 100 individuals for each subject. English and History classes were held on February 13 and 14, followed by English lessons (February 20 and 21), Mathematics (February 20 and 21) and Physics (February 27).

Team Selangor, which was established in 2017, is a state government initiative to promote activities on volunteerism and empowering the community.
