Update on Selangor Covid-19 assessment centres operating hours

SHAH ALAM, Feb 22 — The Selangor State Health Department (JKNS) has announced changes in the operating hours of the Covid-19 Assessment Centres (CAC) in Petaling, Klang and Sepang.

According to the JKNS Facebook page, the Petaling CAC at Malawati Stadium in Section 13, Shah Alam, operates from Monday until Saturday from 8.30am to 12.30pm.

For the Klang CAC at the Pandamaran Hockey Stadium, the operating hours for Monday to Thursday are from 8.30am to 12.30pm and 2-5pm, while on Friday the hours start from 8.30am to 11.30am and 3-5pm and on Saturday from 8.30am to 12.30pm.

Meanwhile, for Sepang CAC at the Bandar Baharu Salak Tinggi Mini Stadium, the operating hours from Monday to Friday start from 8.30am to 5pm, while on Saturday and public holiday, it opens from 8am to 1pm.

“If you are a Covid-19 positive patient who is undergoing treatment at home and are showing any symptoms, please contact the CAC. The Home Assessment Team will assist you.

“If your symptoms worsen, please contact 999 or go to the nearest hospital in your own vehicle,” the department said.

Other than the stadium and the community halls, 19 CACs throughout Selangor are located at healthcare and town clinics listed.

The CACs were set up at the end of January to assess the conditions of patients under home quarantine or brought to the Covid-19 Treatment and Quarantine Centre (PKRC).

For further treatment, the patient will be referred to the hospital.

The complete CAC phone number list and operating hours can be referred from the JKNS Facebook page.

As of February 9, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the CAC centres which began operating in stages from January 25, have monitored 60,052 Covid-19 patients with 152 CAC centres operating throughout the country.

These centres are opened from 8am to 5pm on working days, with some even operating on weekends.
