SHAH ALAM, March 6 — About 1,000 participants are targeted to participate in the Covid-19 community screening program held from 9am to 4pm at Dewan Resak in Subang Perdana here today.

Selcare Clinic operations manager Mohd Noor Md Nasir said the target was based on a very encouraging response when 100 people started queuing as early as 8am this morning.

“We believe that many people are taking the opportunity provided by the state government as this initiative is free compared to those outside that needed payment.

“In fact, the community also needs to be responsible and have the courage to be screened and at the same time break the chain of the pandemic,” said Mohd Noor Md Nasir.

According to him, the screening uses the rapid antigen kit test (RTK-Ag) which results can be known within 24 hours.

The free screening targets residents near Taman Subang Perdana, Taman Nusa Subang, Taman Pinggiran Subang and Taman Subang Idaman.

The state government has allocated RM6 million to carry out community screening to curb the spread of Covid-19 which is expected to benefit 50,000 people.

Those present are asked to register at http://screening.selangkah.my to launch the process.
