SHAH ALAM, March 31 — Residents of Tasik Tambahan in Ampang and Bandar Baru Bangi can participate in the free Covid-19 screening this weekend to help prevent the spread of the pandemic.

The free testing targetting 1,000 participants, will take place at the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) Tasik Tambahan hall, in Ampang, and at Section 7 multipurpose Hall, in Bandar Baru Bangi this Sunday.

“The public is advised to take advantage of free screening to curb the spread of Covid-19,” said Selcare Clinic manager Mohamad Noor Md Nasir when contacted.

He said the location selection was based on the artificial intelligence (AI) technology that was able to identify and predict the spread of the pandemic.

The public can sign-up for the programme via the SELangkah app or visit screening.selangkah.my.

The Selangor government has set aside RM6 million to carry out the free Covid-19 community screening initiative throughout the state to curb the coronavirus outbreak.

The initiative targets the participation of 50,000 Selangor residents in high-density areas as well as those from the low-income group.
