Free targeted screening in Subang Perdana, Kota Damansara this weekend

SHAH ALAM, March 3 — The free targeted screening programme to curb the spread of Covid-19 will continue at four additional locations this weekend.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the focused locations are at Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Resak Hall in Subang Perdana, Shah Alam and the Subang Jaya Cituy Council (MBSJ) Multipurpose Hall at, Seri Kembangan on March 6.

He said on March 7, the programme will also be held concurrently at the Section 2 Multipurpose Hall in Kota Damansara and Dataran Otomobil at Section 15 in Shah Alam.

“The screening will help the state government identify (Covid-19) cases and isolate those who are positive,” he said when commenting on Selangor’s Covid-19 updates on Facebook today.

Through his Twitter on February 20, Amirudin said the programme will be continued in areas with the risk of getting a spike in positive cases such as nursing homes for senior citizens.

He explained that screening locations were determined based on data and discussions held between the state government and district health centres.

Previously, the same programme was implemented at the Shah Alam Halls in Sections 7, 19, 25 and 28; Pandamaran Jaya Multipurpose Hall and MPK (Klang Municipal Council) Multipurpose Hall in Klang; PJS 6 Community Hall in Petaling Jaya and Sabak Bernam’s Sungai Besar Stadium.
