SHAH ALAM, March 4 — Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) has allows
solemnisation ceremonies for Muslim couples to be performed in person again starting March 8.
In a posting on Facebook, Jais informed the permission to hold the event was made following the enforcement of the conditional movement control order (CMCO) in the state effective tomorrow.
“However, it is subject to the number of attendees, events held at the mosque is limited to 15 people, while at Jais and the District Islamic Religious Office (Paid) only six guests.
“For ceremony held at home and rented premises, the number allowed is 20 people,” said the post.
Prior to this, solemnisation ceremonies was implemented through a video conference during the movement control order (MCO) period.
