MB: Free Covid-19 screening for Shah Alam residents in Subang Perdana this Saturday

SHAH ALAM, March 4 — The free targeted screening programme to curb the spread of Covid-19 will continue for Shah Alam residents staying near Subang Perdana this Saturday.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari urged residents living near the area to undergo the screening.

“Shah Alam residents living in Taman Subang Perdana, Taman Nusa Subang, Taman Pinggiran Subang and Taman Subang Idaman are encouraged to come for the free Covid-19 screening at Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Resak Hall/Council Member Service Centre in Subang Perdana on March 6,” he said in a posting on Facebook today.

He said the free screening will start from 9am to 4pm.

Amirudin also advised those who are coming to download the SELangkah (Step in, safely) mobile application and use the function ‘Saringan’, they can also register at the website screening.selangkah.my.

Previously, the same programme was implemented at the Shah Alam Halls in Sections 7, 19, 25 and 28; Pandamaran Jaya Multipurpose Hall and MPK (Klang Municipal Council) Multipurpose Hall in Klang; PJS 6 Community Hall in Petaling Jaya and Sabak Bernam’s Sungai Besar Stadium.

On January 20, the Selangor administration through the Kita Selangor Package had allocated RM6 million to continue the free Covid-19 community screening operation throughout the state to curb the spread of the pandemic.

The initiative is part of the state government’s effort to detect more cases, especially among the high-risk groups.
