By Sheeda Fathil

SHAH ALAM, March 2 — Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari called on Selangor students to apply for the Higher Learning Institute Entry Reward (HPIPT).

Amirudin said RM1,000 is offered to those enrolling to study in the higher learning institutions(IPT).

“Every year, the state government offers an incentive called HPIPT to lighten the burden of study preparation.

“Log on to https://hpipt.selangor.gov.my/ and apply immediately before March 31,” Amirudin said on his Facebook.

The initiative is offered to Selangor students from households earning RM5,000 and below.

Applicants must be first-year students who have received an offer to study full time in Bachelor’s degree, Diploma and Level-Four Malaysian Skills Certificate at public and private higher learning institutions.

Among the requirements are that applicants should be residents of the state for more than one year, are Malaysian citizens and have Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).
