RM40,000 funds to build fences, pedestrian walkways in Subang Jaya

SHAH ALAM, March 18 — Two public projects in the Subang Jaya constituency, which completed in October last year, have offered relief to the local community.

Its state assemblyman Michelle Ng said the construction of the residential fencing at USJ3C that cost RM19,990 managed to reduce crime in the area.

“The project involves the upgrading of the ‘chain link’ fence that separates the MBSJ urban recreational park and the residential area.

“The old fences were damaged following frequent trespassing, which has caused many residents here to become victims of crime,” Ng told SelangorKini.

Meanwhile, Ng said the construction to round up the pedestrian walkway around the public field area at Jalan SS15/2E brought comfort to visitors, and especially to the local residents.

“During my visit to SS15/2E, I noticed that the public field’s walkway did not connect fully and was shaped in a ‘U’ shape.

“So, residents going for their jogs had to turn around and jog back to continue exercising,” Ng said, adding that a total of RM19,993 had been used to build the concrete walkway which measures 86.5 by 1.5 metres.
