SHAH ALAM, March 29 — Two new features at the Shah Alam Laka Garden, here, has been launched by Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, yesterday.
Also present to witness the launch of a 240-metre Zip Line Shah Alam and the Musical Fountain Cultural Park was Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
The Selangor Raja Muda, as well as Amirudin, had taken part in the flying fox activity which flies above the lake.
Acting Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) mayor Mohd Rashidi Ruslan during the launch said the local council is the first in Selangor to develop such a facility.
“I hope that people will utilise the facility well and also teach their children and the young generation on the importance to conserve the natural environment in Shah Alam,” he said.
The zipline activity will be open to visitors for free from April 1 to 4 in conjunction with the attraction’s opening.
Meanwhile, Mohd Rashidi said the 40-metre high water fountain attraction, which will be lit with LED lighting fixtures and audio feature, will be open to the public every night during the weekends and public holidays beginning Friday.
He said the upgrade to the lake garden, which cost a total of RM1.96 million, is part of the local council’s efforts to boost the tourism sector in Shah Alam.
“The public can come and enjoy the water fountain show from 8.15pm to 8.30pm, 8.45pm to 9.15pm, 9.15pm to 9.30pm and 9.45pm to 10pm,” he added.
