Selcare urges community to undergo free screening this weekend

SHAH ALAM, March 26 — Residents of Kampung Pandan and Seri Kembangan have been urged to undergo the Selangor-sponsored mass Covid-19 community screening this weekend to control the spread of the pandemic.

The free testing which targets 1,000 participants will take place at Jalan Medan Belimbing, Seri Kembangan on Saturday and the MPAJ (Ampang Jaya Municipal Council) multipurpose hall at Jalan H, Kampung Pandan, on Sunday.

“We urge the public to make use of the free testing to curb the spread of Covid-19,” said Selcare Clinic manager Mohd Noor Md Nasir when contacted.

He said the selection of screening locations is determined by the artificial intelligence (AI) technology which is able to identify and forecast the spread of the virus.

Members of the public can register their participation through the SELangkah (Step In Safely) app and select the ‘screening’ function or log on to screening.selangkah.my

The Selangor government has provided a total of RM6 million in allocation to continue the mass Covid-19 community screening programme in areas with high population density and is aimed at the low-income (B40) group.
