Kinrara’s free counselling service helps individuals cope with stress

SHAH ALAM, April 21 — Kinrara constituency service centre now provides free counselling service for residents in the surrounding areas.

Kinrara state assemblyman Ng Sze Han said the session is held on Saturday to Monday from 10am to 6pm at the JKP Community hall in Puchong Zone 16.

He said the programme that is run by two specialist covers individual and group counselling, stress and emotional management, career and family.

“Going through hard times? If you find it difficult to cope with stress, anxiety and depression, come immediately and talk to our counsellor,” he said in a posting on Facebook.

Ng added people who want to come for the free counselling session need to make an appointment.

The state government allocated RM1 million through the Selangor Prihatin Economic Stimulus Package 2.0 to address mental health issues through interactive classes.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the issue was among the general focus of the Selangor government to help the people, especially in facing the Covid-19 pandemic.
