By Khairul Azran Hussin

SHAH ALAM, April 21 — Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari calls for eligible Selangor citizens to register for the death benefit aid scheme, the Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) 2.0 to receive its various benefits.

He said the initiative has been improved with a death benefit contribution of RM500 and Jom Shopping vouchers.

“Selangor citizens are asked to immediately visit e-mesra.yawas.my for information to enjoy these benefits,” he said in a Facebook posting today.

On October 30 last year, Amirudin announced the death benefit aid that was discontinued in May 2019 was resumed.

A total of RM7.5 million is provided to the heirs registered with Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (YAWAS) to receive the assistance of RM500 per person.

The state government also provided an RM20 million fund to the Jom Shopping SMUE programme.
